Acceptance of terms

By using the Rooh Al-Muslim app by Anubis Studio (Hossam Gamal), you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Purpose of the app

Rooh Al-Muslim is an Islamic app designed to help Muslims with their daily worship, including:

  • Reading and listening to the Holy Quran
  • Tracking prayer times
  • Adhkar and supplications
  • Tasbih and istighfar
  • Quran khatma
  • Ruqyah
  • The Names of Allah

Islamic content

We make sure the content is accurate and sourced from authentic Islamic references. Quranic texts are taken from the Madinah Mushaf, and adhkar and supplications come from authentic hadith sources.

User responsibilities

  • Use the app for lawful purposes only.
  • Do not attempt to tamper with the app's content or systems.
  • Report any error in the Islamic content by email.

Content you add

  • You are responsible for any content you add in the app, such as your display name on the honor board, comments and replies on stories, and reports.
  • Offensive, inappropriate or unlawful content, impersonating others and posting their private information are not allowed.
  • You can report any comment, and we review reports. We may remove or refuse any name, comment or reply that breaks these terms, without prior notice.

Monthly Honor Board contest

  • Organizer: the monthly Honor Board contest is organized by Anubis Studio (Hossam Gamal), the developer of Rooh Al-Muslim.
  • Who can enter: every user of the app takes part automatically and for free, with no sign-in. Only users who choose a public display name appear on the board and can win; choosing a name is entirely optional. Entrants must be 13 or older. Void where prohibited by law; the contest is not available in Afghanistan or Morocco.
  • How points are earned: points come from activity done inside the app's Quran reader, adhkar, tasbih and prayer screens: prayers logged (up to five a day), Quran pages read in the Mushaf reader (a page that stays on screen for about 20 seconds, once per page per day, up to 60 pages a day), a khatma (once a month, after all 604 Mushaf pages are actually read), adhkar (a dhikr from the app's adhkar, counted when its full count is finished after at least 3 seconds, once a day, up to 100 a day), every tasbih, even partial rounds (half a point per press, up to 3,000 presses a day, counted about 3 seconds after you stop tapping, when you leave the screen or when you switch dhikr), fasting (one day a day) and opening the app (once a day). The point value of each activity is shown on the Honor Board screen. Points cannot be purchased, and no paid feature adds points.
  • Tasbih from outside the app: every tasbih (half a point per press) counts as if done in the app, even when they come from the home screen or lock screen widgets, Control Center, the Live Activity, or the Android Quick Settings tile and widgets, under the same conditions and daily cap; they are added to your points when you open the app while online.
  • Activity done offline: activity done without internet is saved on your phone and added when you are back online, as long as it is no more than 7 days old, under the same rules and limits as if done at the time, and it counts in the month in which it was done. Activity of the last day of a month counts if the app connects within 24 hours after the month ends; after that it is not counted and the app shows it as having passed its counting window. The Honor Board shows your activity instantly; it is uploaded in the background and ranked when you are online.
  • What is not counted: marks entered by hand in the trackers (such as "I read N pages", the manual adhkar mark or marking a khatma by hand) stay in your personal log only, and listening in the background is not counted either; points come only from activity done in the app's reader, adhkar, tasbih and prayer screens.
  • Appearing on the board: you need a display name to appear on the board; your points still accumulate if you have not chosen one.
  • Contest period: each round is one full Gregorian month, Cairo time. Each round ends at midnight Cairo time on the last day of the month, and final results are announced at 12:01 AM Cairo time on the 2nd of the next month, after the 24-hour window for counting activity saved offline.
  • Prize: the winning places (their number is shown on the "Contest rules" screen in the app) get free Premium features for one month, from the announcement until the next winners are announced. The prize has no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
  • How winners are notified: winners are notified with an in-app notification when results are announced, and their display names appear on the Honor Board.
  • Ties: users with equal points share the same place and all win, including a tie for the last winning place. Whoever reached the total first is listed first.
  • Disqualification: we may disqualify any account or cancel its prize if we suspect cheating or manipulated points. Winners are selected automatically from the recorded points once the 24-hour window after the month ends has closed (00:01 Egypt time on the 2nd) and the prize is applied automatically; activity that looks abnormal may be reviewed before the prize is granted.
  • Apple and Google are not sponsors of, nor involved in, this contest in any way.
  • What is shown publicly: the Honor Board shows everyone your display name, your monthly points and your rank, and the winners list keeps them for up to 12 months. You can remove your name in Settings at any time to leave the board. See the Privacy Policy.

Premium subscription and purchases

  • The app offers an optional Premium subscription, bought in the app through the Apple App Store or Google Play at the price and currency shown before you confirm. A monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, may be offered.
  • Payment is charged to your App Store (Apple ID) or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Automatic renewal: a monthly or yearly subscription renews automatically at the same price and for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Cancelling: you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew at any time in your store account settings: on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, and on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. After you cancel, the subscription stays active until the end of the paid period, and the remaining part of that period is not refunded.
  • The one-time lifetime purchase does not renew and is never charged again.
  • We verify every purchase on our server before activating it. You can restore your purchases from the subscription page in the app. Refund requests are handled under Apple's or Google's policies.
  • On iPhone and iPad, purchases are also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

Intellectual property

The app, its design and content (excluding Quranic texts and hadiths) are protected by intellectual property rights. Copying or redistributing the app or any part of it without prior permission is prohibited.

Comments and user-generated content

The app lets users comment on stories and reply to comments. Before posting their first comment or reply, users must agree to these Terms. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

  • Do not post content that is abusive, obscene, sectarian, hateful or violent, that bullies, harasses or impersonates others, that is advertising or spam, or that knowingly spreads false religious information.
  • The app automatically filters objectionable words. Any user can report any comment or reply, and block any user so that their content is hidden from them immediately.
  • We review reports within 24 hours, remove offending content, and ban the user who posted it from commenting, temporarily or permanently, without prior notice.
  • Authors can delete their own comments and replies at any time.

Disclaimer

  • Prayer times are approximate and may vary with the calculation method used.
  • The Qibla direction relies on your device's compass and may be affected by magnetic fields.
  • The app does not replace consulting scholars on religious matters.

Updates

We may update these terms at any time, and we will notify you of any significant changes through the app.
